God chooses hearts willing to serve Him and speaks to us in different ways. First, when Sebastian was 17 years old, God showed him through a dream that he would be traveling to different countries —not in search of recognition or wealth, but with the purpose of sowing hope. Though he had no idea when or how this dream would come true, it never stopped beating strongly. Moreover, when Polo was 33 years old, he met Christ, surrendered his life to Him, and understood the importance of his decision. Later, already as a family man, he experienced how professionals from other countries came to bless his own. Experiencing the love of neighbor and seeing firsthand the commitment with which these people worked to serve God not only touched Polo’s life but also awakened a calling that would never be silenced.
The truth is that God always fulfills His Word, and finally, the paths of that young man who dreamed of traveling around the world helping others crossed with that of the experienced man who had in his heart the desire to carry out that mission. Both understood that those longings full of faith and perseverance that each one had were the first milestone of what today is a transforming reality that only happens in God’s perfect time.
Thus, in 2020, Semillas was born—a non-profit foundation dedicated to assisting and transforming the lives not only of those who receive help, but also of the people who give.
At Semillas, we embrace the talents God has given us to bless and serve others. Through medical assistance squads, by creating and supporting community kitchens and developing educational programs, we bring the light of Jesus to those most in need.
